Description: Predominantly dark gray and brown tones, occasional light gray pieces.

Geology: A metamorphic field stone. This stone is hard but brittle. It displays little or no rust and contains virtually no natural seams for splitting.
Special Notes: PA Fieldstone is intended for use in dry stack applications and mortared retaining walls. It can and often is used as a stick-on veneer but due to its geological properties, there tends to be more waste than normal when using it for this type application as some of it breaks during the splitting process.

Geology: A quarried metamorphic sand stone. This stone is very hard and does not split well. There are very few natural seams in this stone.
Special Notes: Colonial Wall Stone is intended for use in dry stack applications and mortared retaining walls. It is an acceptable alternative to fieldstone for veneer applications due to its consistency in thickness. Being a quarried stone, this prodcut is an excellent all around product for almost any application.
