Geology: A quarried metamorphic stone. This stone is not as hard as a schist and therefore shapes and splits easily. There are high levels of iron that lead to rusting.
Special Notes: Rustic Brown should be purchased in quantities large enough to complete a single project. Color does not vary as much as some other stones. The rusting that is caused by the iron content though is very noticeable. This adds character to this stone and makes it an excellent choice for interior or exterior applications.
